A seasoned search professional and top-of-class business leader, Martin has established a reputation for providing exceptional service, sharing his client’s sense of urgency without compromising on quality, for developing highly participative client relationships, and for maintaining the highest levels of integrity putting both clients’ and candidates’ interests first. Martin’s academic and practical experience leading and developing a number of successful businesses, employing hundreds of employees, provides him with a unique combination of business savvy and experience, resulting in a disciplined approach to search and consultation.

Prior to founding Martin Kingston & Associates, Martin was a Search Practice Leader and Senior Management Consultant at another international search firm. Earlier in his career, and for over two and half decades, Martin was an Advertising Agency President and C.E.O., and held senior marketing roles for some of the World’s leading business organizations. He is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business.

Extensive first hand experience in restructuring and building companies of all sizes ranging from multi-national operations to smaller, independent entrepreneurial Canadian firms, has provided Martin with a sound understanding of the critical success factors beneficial in the promotion of organizational growth and profits while sustaining internal and financial stability.

Martin’s past success was based on the belief that the creation and communication of a compelling vision, strategy development and implementation, and most importantly hiring the right people are crucial factors for all organizations looking to gain a competitive advantage.

A recognized authority in salary and compensation issues, Martin is an ongoing contributor to the editorial content of Marketing Magazine.

Martin has also been a member of the Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Toronto and the Board of Directors for the Canadian Institute of Advertising and the Affiliated Advertising Agencies International. He is an active member of the Marketing Advisory Board of Humber College.
